------------

In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.

Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

If I were Tim I would be fuming. And then proceed to make Alex disappear by throwing him to a river

when the block of ice "isnt disappered" when its in the river and cant be seen, then the melted ice blocks also didnt disaprer, because sure its water now but its still there! with that logic "makeing something disapper is nearly impossible because the atoms of it the matter will always be somewhere, or it will transform into energy, but thats also still there. only if it goes into a black hole it might disaper, but even then we dont know what happens inside a black hole or how it functions or what it is, so it might still be there.

I don't know, if the objective is to make it disappear, and the judge could no longer see it, I feel the item has disappeared.

dis·ap·pear /ˌdisəˈpir/ Definition: Cease to be visible. The task was to make it disappear. They didn't specify it had to change states. The guy who tossed it in the river made it disappear; the second it went under and wasn't visible it technically disappeared. Fuck the judges.

ok if the goal is to make the *block* of ice dissapear, could you not just knock it over and let it shatter?: there would be no block of ice, only chunks of ice.
PastelPiku

What, just grab the hammer, start smashing, pulverize it into tiny pieces, pour hot water on it all if necessary. The ice will melt way faster if it's all separated.

Emanuel Desperados

Just smash it. Its no longer a block of ice, hence you made the block of ice dissapear. If its allowed to "destroy" it to make it dissapear as they do by melding it into water, smashing it up does the same.

I would've put a cloth over a table and then made alex sit down on a chair far away. I would've put the ice on the ground and told alex that I will magically make the ice "disappear". Then I would've placed a sheet in front of the ice (blocking alex's vision) and slid the block under the table with the cloth. I would then remove the sheet and announce with a triumph "Voilà! It is gone". Easy 5 points.

If had put the ice block in a sack, full of enough weights to make it sink, then tossed it in the river, I'd agree. Come to think of it, if he'd put the ice block in a sack right there in the yard, and declared job done, I'd also agree.

The ice in the river disappeared. I mean if you want to get scientific, matter cannot be created or destroyed, so the ice cube never disappeared at all, just changed states from liquid to eventually moisture in the air. So the ice in the river tactic was 100% legitimate if we consider all the other contestants' methods of melting the ice

couldnt you have just put it in the tub, filled it with just enough water to cover it and if it starts floating just put something heavy on it? that ice looked pretty clear to me so id guess its pretty hard to see, all id be worried about is if it is floating or not. worst case scenario just start melting it afterwards or use hot water to begin with.
