This week, I traveled to the beautiful country of Iraq. All my life I'd heard of the war in Iraq and how dangerous it was to visit, but I wanted to go there and explore if for myself to hear the stories that didn't make it into the media. So, along with Drew Binsky, Lexie Alford and Cory Martin, we were taken around Iraqi Kurdistan by our amazing guide, Baderkhan.
Thank you to Lexie Limitless for joining us on this crazy adventure:

you dont need a team to travel safely in Kurdistan Region...just a good driver and guide who know the region well. I am older Australian christian woman and have travelled - staying in Duhok primarily - 4 times since 2016 and during 2017 election. My US friend has a small NGO helping Yezidis in camps and volunteers are from around the world. It is wise to gain a Iraqi visa prior to visiting but US/UK/Aust do not need visa for Kurdistan. (1 month visa free)

There are a lot to see in Iraq, Iraq is the whole world in one country. It is the starting point of human journey. It is quite safe nowadays. The miracle of this country is the society, they're very friendly and very generous. We in Iraq respect foreigners, this a part of our culture. Thanks and regards

Ups! You forgot to mention that when you are filthy rich as your grand grandfather was stealing lands from people as “the king”, and now a good boy of the ruling party, passport doesn’t matter and you can travel anywhere. Also Badrkhan forgot to mention the “brakuzhyi” war that lasted for 4 years, kurd-kurd for money and power, no patriotism. I couldn’t watch the whole thing, it was too fake. Yes I am a kurd, but not a ruling party boy and not a blind nationalist.

Very inspiring, thank you for sharing! :) However, in my humble opinion, your title is a little bit off, since Kurdistan is respectfully its own autonomous region, with its own Government, its own President, its own military, its own language etc. - thus not Iraq per se. Probably a video title with "7 days in the autonomous region of Kurdistan" would be more accurate.

The story which you told of their history is not true.Evil world hide their story. You'll know the true story if you search it on Turkey and Pakistan. Because these two's are only hard for the evils. And these two hide the history's book on their place. If evil human think they can also get from them and then it'll be bad for the evil people 😂. Because they don't how much Pakistan can be for them 😂😂😂😂

I am sorry, but why does this girl in the video, seem far more ignorant? All the men seems far more respectful and understanding, than this woman. In one of her videos she walked around in the Middle East in form fitted outfits and she was one of the only women walking there. If you are going to those places, dress respectfully, not tank tops and fitted clothes. Out fo respect and to not draw so much attention to yourself, you should cover some of your hair and dress more modestly, longer, more proper clothing.

@مهدي 313 Yes, because they gave us a no-flyzone order. We have been without terror in comparison with Baghdad for more than 30 years. And stop saying "the north" for god's sake, it has its name in the Iraqi constitution and its name is Kurdistan Region. What we did was wise and rational, and we are not the only middle eastern power to do that. Jordan, UAE, Saudi, they all did that in the past
مهدي 313
مهدي 313 2 dager siden
@Hawbash Kurd i misunderstood. yes the kurds in the north and the arabs in the south did a great job in fighting saddams army and weakning it, but what the kurds did afterwards is what is wrong. they sided with the americans and zionists. and that is unacceptable.

Please do not repeat the word Iraq ... You are here in the land of the Kurds (Kurdistan) and we are the people of Kurdistan, "most of us" do not like to hear the word Iraq on its land, because we have been subjected to injustice and persecution at the hands of the Iraqis .... and also because we deserve to be an independent state as a natural right We have (self-determination), and this is what Iraq and the neighboring countries do not want

Southern Iraq holds so many bad memories for me. The fight for basra opened my eyes to war as a fresh 18 year old just out of basic training a few weeks before the invasion the initial battle wasn't bad it was what came after it the suicide bombings then blue on blue friendly fire incidents that really freaked me out a little. Couldn't sleep for about two days when home on R&R in the mid summer I seen the vivid image of a young girl laying halved in two from a mahdi army ied. I dont know why I didn't leave the army in 04 when I got home instead I stayed in the military until I was left severely injured and disabled in 2010 in nad-e-ali I wish I had listened to my mother and my girlfriend now my wife at the time when I came home in 04 maybe I just would have my sanity and my limbs on the right side
